Monday, Nov 14, 2022Dr. Dobrin (third from left) and fellow volunteer police from ten countries, including the United States, England, Holland, Singapore, and Malaysia. They attended the Volunteer Law Enforcement Officer Alliance conference in Kent, where Dr. Dobrin serves on the Board of Directors.
Adam Dobrin, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice, recently returned from a trip to England during which he presented his research to an array of international volunteer police leaders and researchers. These included meetings at the British Home Office, New Scotland Yard, the Walkie Talkie building (fun fact: it’s the building that melted cars with reflected sunlight!), the Volunteer Law Enforcement Officers Alliance conference in Kent, and at the University of Northampton, where he was offered an honorary position as Visiting Fellow for the Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice.
