Wilkes Honors College Peer Mentor Program
The Wilkes Honors College (WHC) Peer Mentor Program is a valuable opportunity for incoming students to enhance their collegiate experience at the Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University. As first year students prepare to navigate the university, peer mentors are prepared to assist new students develop the skills and connections they will need to be successful in college. Being involved in a peer mentoring relationship gives first-year and new transfer students opportunities to deepen their relationship with the Wilkes Honors College and Campus Life, to get to know their classmates, and to jump-start their college experience by gaining insight and receiving support from great peer mentors.
The goal of the program is to help first time in college and new transfer students develop the skills and connections they will need to be successful in college. Current WHC students volunteer to serve as Peer mentors and are available to share information about college resources and encourage student involvement such as promoting and participating in events and student organizations on campus.
