Graduate Programs

The Department of Psychology at Florida Atlantic University offers graduate training through two programs:

Our graduate training programs emphasize independent, mentor-guided research, and coursework that provides a broad knowledge of psychology, and includes training in basic and advanced experimental design. Our graduate students have obtained postdoctoral positions and tenure-track faculty appointments at major universities across the country.

Our faculty conduct research in four core areas of Psychology: Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental, and Social/Personality Psychology.

Please note that the Department of Psychology at FAU does  not  offer graduate studies in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, but rather we offer basic experimental training that provides the foundation for a career in academia or industry and may facilitate entry into applied Ph.D. programs.
