Thursday, Feb 29, 2024Dive into an adventure — at your own risk — filled with fins and fun! In anticipation of the Festival of the Arts Boca premiere of the original blockbuster “Jaws” movie with a live symphony orchestra, members from Florida Atlantic University’s Shark Lab will be on-site at the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton on Friday, March 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Come meet one of the most preeminent shark researchers in the world, Stephen Kajiura, Ph.D., a professor of biological sciences in FAU’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, and some of his graduate students to learn about the thousands of sharks that migrate down to Palm Beach County waters. Guests will have the unique opportunity to handle shark jaws and enjoy a jaw-dropping photo opportunity to snap selfies inside Jaw’s giant set of teeth.
The FAU Shark Lab team and display will return to the Mizner Park Amphitheater on Saturday, March 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., prior to the screening of the classic “Jaws” movie thriller.
