CUES 50th Anniversary Series
Watch 50 Years of CUES
CUES was established on July I, 1972 by Dr. John M. DeGrove, under its original name of the Joint Center for Environmental and Urban Problems. The name updated in 2002 to reflect the Center’s shift toward implementable solutions. We honor this legacy by helping communities and decision-makers plan for urban and environmental issues through partnerships, education, and research throughout Florida and beyond. During its 50-year Anniversary celebration, CUES hosted a series of events.
