Spring 2016 Planning Abroad Trip to Vancouver, Canada

The title of this year’s trip was “Vancouverism and Eco-Density” . Led by instructor Peter Henn, students traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, over spring break and found out why city planners and urban designers from around the world visit Vancouver to study its many accomplishments with “green densification” and creating a more sustainable way to live. Upon returning home, the class applied the lessons learned to downtown West Palm Beach. Next year (Spring 2017) the class will visit Vancouver again along with Portland and Seattle in the US.
