Assistive Technology Resource Center

Student Accessibility Services has an Assistive Technology Resource Center/Computer Lab for students registered with our office. This is located within our Boca Raton office, SU 80, room 133 and is open Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Students will check in at the front desk to use the lab. Students can utilize this lab to study and complete schoolwork either on their own device or using one of our computers. All computers within the lab are equipped with assistive technology software as well as software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Assistive technology orientations are available and are designed to provide an overview of the assistive technology available and determine which technology may be best suited for the student’s specific needs. For more information, please contact our Assistive Technology Specialist or sasinfo@health.fau.edu.

We also offer help with basic computer skills to our students. Students can fill out our Technology Competency Assessment and bring it in with them to the lab to help the technology staff members address areas in which they may need assistance.
