Professor Inducted into National Academy of Inventors

Jang-Yen Wu, Ph.D., professor, Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, was recently elected as a National Academy of Inventors (NAI) fellow by the 2024 NAI Fellows Selection Committee and Board of Directors.

This prestigious honor recognizes Wu’s achievements as an inventor and his contributions and impact on innovation and economic development, as well as his dedication to advancing technology and fostering invention for the benefit of society.

The formal induction is in June at the 14th NAI Annual Conference in Atlanta, Ga. During this ceremony, Wu will receive an official NAI fellow certificate, medal, rosette and lapel pin, presented by representatives from the NAI and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The mission of the National Academy of Inventors is to recognize and promote the contributions of inventors to innovation and to support the translation of discoveries into real-world applications. The fellows program exemplifies this mission, celebrating the creativity and ingenuity of the most influential inventors at NAI member institutions worldwide.
