Distinguished Research Award

Allan Barsky, Ph.D., professor in the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work, College of Social Work and Criminal Justice, recently earned the Stanley Cohen Distinguished Research Award from the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).

AFCC an interdisciplinary and international association of professionals dedicated to the resolution of family conflict. Its members include leading practitioners, researchers, educators and policymakers in the family court field.

Barsky will accept this award, as well as present "Transgender Children and Youth in the Family Court System” and “Gender Identity and Transitions: Personal, Spiritual, Legal and Social,” at the upcoming AFCC conference in June in Boston.
