Interested in becoming an LA?

Check out what 'A Day in the Life' of a Florida Atlantic LA looks like!

Learning Assistants (LAs) are guided by three essential elements of the LA model: Practice, Preparation, and Pedagogy. Each of these elements work in concert to deliver a successful LA experience for faculty and students.

LAs typically work between 6-10 hours each week. Each course is uniquely redesigned to enhance the quality of learning, so an LAs hours may look quite different from one course to another. However, the essential three elements are always present and powerful!
