Mission

The mission of Florida Atlantic University’s Office of Interprofessional Education is to facilitate team-based educational experiences within a collaborative framework to enhance the abilities of students, faculty, and providers to engage in effective, person-and-family-centered interprofessional practice across a range of educational and practice settings to improve overall population health.

Goals

Faculty and students will:

1. Apply evidence-based models of person- and family-centered interprofessional collaboration across a range of educational and practice settings to improve overall population health and collaborative competencies.

2. Demonstrate interprofessional education competencies: ethics and values, roles and responsibilities, interprofessional communication, teams and teamwork, and interprofessional collaboration in various educational and practice settings.

3. Evaluate the interprofessional education program to improve the quality of team-based educational experiences.

4. Engage with community partners to create and support interprofessional education and collaborative practice experiences.
