WHAT IS CONVOCATION?
The annual ceremony recognizes the University's most outstanding students and faculty members. Student honors include prestigious merit-based scholarships, among other academic awards. Additionally, faculty honors include researchers/scholars of the year, as well as teaching and advising awards.
WHO IS INVITED?
Everyone! Families and friends of recognized students are encouraged to attend, along with anyone from the university and community. No RSVP required.
For more information, contact Taina Teran-Campbell.
PARKING OPTIONS
The most convenient parking option for families and friends of honorees is to leave their vehicles in LOT 1 or GARAGE 2 (MAP) at no cost. From those parking locations, walk west. You should follow the sidewalk path that passes between two lakes and goes south of the Arts and Humanities building. This will lead you to the foot of a hill. The University Theatre is at the top of the hill next to the Performing Arts building.
WHAT TO WEAR
Academic regalia is appropriate for faculty members. For all others, please be sure to dress semi-formal and business appropriate (suits or evening wear).
