Who needs an FAU Parking Permit?
Everyone!   All students, faculty, staff, vendors, and anyone else parking on campus is required to have a parking decal. Visitors may park at parking meters or use the ParkMobile app.    
Is there a grace period for getting my permit?
During the Fall semester only, parking tickets are not issued for not having a permit during the drop/add period of the first week of school in blue and green lots.  During this period all other violations are enforced, including but not limited to Parking out of the assigned area, parking in no parking zones, parking in reserved space, parking on the grass, or hazardous parking. What are the hours of enforcement?
Parking and Transportation regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
How long do I have to pay a citation before a late fee is assesed?
Payment for all citations must be received in the Parking and Transportation Services Office by the 14th calendar day after the issuance of the citation.  However, vehicles may not be left in violation and may continue to accrue citations for being in violation.

Student & Faculty/Staff do not recieve late fees

Upon receiving a citation, it will be transferred to your MYFAU account. Please allow 24-48 hours before being able to see the citation posted on your account.

In order to pay your citation, go to "Pay Citation" on the Parking & Transportation website.

If you decide to Appeal the Citation issued, you will have 14 Days to Appeal from the date of the issued citation.

How to File an Appeal ( VISITOR ONLY)

1. Click on the link found below. Per the instructions, you will need to create an account. Click on "create one" which you will find is highlighted in yellow.

2. After you submit your "log in" information the system will bring you back to the appeal page where you will now need to insert your username and password.

3. From here you will then fill out all the appeal information.

The results of the appeal submitted will be sent to your preferred method (postal mail or e-mail). On average, it takes about two weeks to get a response. While your citation is under appeal a hold is placed on the citation so that you can not accumulate any late fees. If the appeal is denied, you have fourteen days from the date of response to either file a second appeal or to pay the citation before a late fee is assessed.

How to File an Appeal (STUDENT & FACULTY/STAFF ONLY)

1.  Go to  Parking & Transportation Website.

2.  Click on "FAU Parking Login".

3. Hover Over "Citations" in the Menu Bar and Click "Appeal Citation" from the menu.

4. Fill out the information completely and accurately.

There are many ways that you may pay for your citation. Anyone may come into the   Office of Parking & Transportation   to pay a citation.  We accept credit cards.  You also have the option of sending a  check by mail.  We do not accept payments over the phone.  For students: If you need to have a hold lifted from your account immediately then you will need to pay through your student account.  Any citations paid through the Parking and Transportation Services Office in person or online have a forty-eight-hour waiting period before the hold is removed.

Who can park at a parking meter?
Anyone that does not have a valid FAU parking permit is permitted to park and pay at the meters. Anyone with a parking permit is prohibited from using single-use meters or metered lots.   Click here for more information on meters and metered lots.

What should I do if I have a Guest Speaker or Interview Candidate come on campus?

I received a citation for parking the wrong way on Volusia Street. Where is that written?
Parking against the flow of traffic is hazardous and against  Florida State Statute 316.195   . There are also signs posted as reminders on both sides of Volusia Street. 
What is the Transportation Access Fee?
The transportation Access Fee is a mandatory, non-refundable fee that all students, whether part-time, day or evening, online, or members of the Lifelong Learning Society, are required to pay at the time of registration along with their tuition each semester.  This fee supports the University's transportation infrastructure and increases student access to transportation services.  A parking permit will be issued once applied to each registered student.  All students including those using other types of transportation are assessed a Transportation Access Fee.

The parking permit is only valid for Automobiles not for motorcycles.

I will temporarily be driving a borrowed or rented vehicle. What should I do?

Valid permit holders are allowed up to two (2) vehicles per ePermit, but please note that only one vehicle may be parked on campus at a time.

To add a vehicle to your permit, please log into the parking portal at  "FAU Parking Login".

In order to learn how to add a temporary vehicle, please watch the Add a vehicle video on our Parking & Transportation Website. Make sure once you have returned the Temporary vehicle to remove it from your account. If not, any citations incurred by the vehicle will be sent to your account.

How do I find out about lot closures, traffic disruptions and parking information?
The Parking Department announces important information on our announcements page or on our home page .
My vehicle was totaled in an accident or I changed vehicles. How do I get a replacement permit?
Please log into the parking portal at FAU Parking Login to remove your old vehicle from your ePermit and replace it with the new. Also, watch our video on how to add a new vehicle to your e-permit. In order to remove the vehicle, simply click “Remove” on the vehicle in your account.
How do I get a motorcycle permit?
In order to Obtain a Motorcycle ePermit, Please Contact the Parking & Transportation office.
