DIRECTOR OF THE CLINICAL RESEARCH UNIT OPERATIONS - BOCA CAMPUS
Judyta Kociolek, MSN, RN
Judtya has been an oncology nurse for 10 years before beginning her career in research. She began her research journey at Lynn Cancer Institute as an Oncology Research Nurse. Shortly after, she accepted a job at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) as a Research Nurse. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Clinical Research Unit Operations at FAU. The In-Vehicle study was the first project she was asked to coordinate at FAU. She has been providing regulatory support to the Principal Investigators, testing and scheduling participants, and auditing documentation.

Kelley Jackson, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC
Kelley currently serves a Research Recruiter for the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University, focusing the majority of her time supporting recruitment for the In-Vehicle Study. With almost 30 years of clinical, industry, and pharmaceutical nursing experience, Kelley is a patient advocate with a passion for artfully disseminating relevant information to those she serves.
SITE COORDINATOR AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGY TEST COORDINATOR - DAVIE CAMPUS
Joshua Conniff
Joshua Conniff is a Ph.D. student at Florida Atlantic University working in the Neuropsychology Lab of Dr. Rosselli and in the Visual Perception and Memory Lab of Dr. Sheremata. Joshua’s research interests include distractor strength on attentional processing and aging studies.
RESEARCH COORDINATOR, BOCA RATON CAMPUS
Alexandru Pasarariu
Alex is a current graduate student at FAU, assisting Dr. Tappen in her duties as PI of the In-Vehicle project. He is of Romanian descent and can speak the language fluently. Alex is excited to help with this project as his long-term career goal is to pursue a Ph.D., and working on this project will provide him with invaluable experience in conducting research.
CRU RESEARCH COORDINATORS
Czdari Lee, MSBS
Czdari graduated from Florida Atlantic University in August 2023 with a MS in Biomedical Science. She plans to focus on clinical research and publish the findings from her thesis project in the future. She performs study testing, sensor installation, and sensor data exchange during each visit.
Ioana Petrovai , MD
Ioana received her MD degree from School of Medicine, Carol Davila University of Medicien and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She has more than 15 years of clinical and research experience. She administers cognitive testing and scheduling.
Bianca Philippe, MSBE
Bianca Philippe graduated from Florida Atlantic University. She received her bachelors in neuroscience and master's degree in biomedical engineering. She has extensive experience in the biotechnology, mainly in the stem cell engineering and clinical research sector. In the future, she plans on obtaining her doctorate degree in medicine. She routinely performs study testing, sensor installation, and sensor data exchange during each visit.
Beth A. Pratt, PhD, RN
Beth has been a nurse for over 25 years and currently holds joint roles as an Assistant Professor and a Research Nurse Coordinator. Her work in education and research aims to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of nursing.
National Institutes of Health Research Supplement Award Winners
Marie Tamara Adonis-Rizzo, MSN, APRN, GNP-C
Marie Tamara Adonis-Rizzo is a bilingual (English-Creole) Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of clinical experience. She is a Ph.D. nursing student o supplement the existing measures and was awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Supplement to support diversity in research. She is recruiting Afro-Caribbean and African American participants for this project and will develop and test a measure of health status change to supplement the current measures.
Michelle Villar, MSN, RN
Michelle is a bilingual (English-Spanish) PhD student at Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University with 20 years of clinical and education nursing experience, and is also a recipient of the a NIH Research Supplement to support diversity in research. As a daughter of Puerto Rican parents going through the medical system and feeling underrepresented and misunderstood, her desire is to advocate for the advancement of knowledge about the health and healthcare needs of the older Hispanic population. She is recruiting Hispanic participants for this project.
