Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program
Welcome to the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). We are committed to providing a comprehensive, well-rounded educational experience in all aspects of vascular disease. Our program focuses on establishing clinical and technical confidence and maximizes opportunities for personal achievement in a supportive, welcoming, and academically rewarding environment. Our trainees are exposed to a varied, high-volume case mix that encompasses the most up to date surgical, endovascular, and medical treatment for all forms of arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. In addition, they are exposed to a robust educational experience including structured didactic conferences, simulation training, and protected study time. Our vigorous research program provides ample exposure to academic opportunities and the fellows participate in longitudinal research studies as well as in several clinical investigative research trials with the expectation of presenting their work at various regional and national conferences. The fellows will also become proficient in reading non-invasive vascular imaging studies in the outpatient and hospital setting as well as in the most recent techniques of wound care management.
In summary, the Vascular Surgery Fellowship at FAU offers an exceptional blend of a varied, high-volume, complex clinical experience with rigorous academics and research combining the best aspects of working in a large private community hospital with a thriving academic medical center. This unique experience provides our trainees with all of the necessary skills to be successful in any professional setting, including both community and academic practice.
I hope that you will give our training program serious consideration and invite you to explore our website for more information and encourage you to contact us directly with any questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you to beautiful and sunny South Florida.
