General Surgery Residency Simulation Training
Simulation has become an important component of medical education across the learner spectrum, from student to resident to allied practitioner. Simulation allows the residents to experience difficult, dangerous, or uncommon events or situations in a safe, reproducible and controlled environment where learning may be maximized and no patients are placed in jeopardy.
Simulation also allows the resident to practice his/her task related skills to optimize real life performance and outcomes. FAU is fortunate to have two state-of-the-art simulation centers that is utilized by all of the residents, allied health professionals, students and faculty.
