Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program
Welcome to the FAU Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program!
Florida Atlantic University's Schmidt College of Medicine is pleased to have received ACGME accreditation for our Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in collaboration with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Bethesda Hospital East and the West Palm VA Medical Center (WPVAMC), our teaching hospitals.
We are recruiting three passionate fellows to join us for training in paradise in beautiful South Florida. Access to beaches is plentiful and the weather is outstanding.
The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine (COM) Fellowship Program in Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine trains the next generation of pulmonary and critical care physicians by providing broad clinical training in community hospital settings balanced with varied academic opportunities with the university.
Our mission is to provide our fellows with the education and experiences that will help develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to be well-rounded, thoughtful, empathetic physicians who are board-certified in both pulmonary and critical care medicine as they embrace life-long learning. We strive to be a supportive learning environment that fosters progressive autonomy and the development of leadership skills that will help these physicians thrive in their careers, whether that be community-based or academic medicine. Ultimately, we succeed when our trainees succeed.
The Schmidt College of Medicine is an integrated learning organization that fosters high-quality, humanistic, and patient-centered care. Our mission is to deliver high-touch, high-tech education to our students, residents, and fellows and to collaborate on high impact, interdisciplinary research with leading experts in the field. The College of Medicine is dedicated to integrating discovery with health care and education in order to contribute to the vitality of our immediate communities, to improve the health and well-being of people and populations, and to transform community-based health care. Please take a few moments to review our rotations and curriculum, and the resources available to our fellows.
