Emergency Medicine Residency Research

The Florida Atlantic University Department of Emergency Medicine is committed to research and encourages all of its residents to play an active role in research and scholarly activities. All residents must complete one scholarly activity project addressing a question related to emergency medicine prior to graduation.

To assist in this process, we have created a mentorship program to pair residents and faculty members. Each resident will choose, or be assigned, a faculty mentor who will supervise the resident throughout the research project.

Each project will culminate with the completion of a manuscript in a format acceptable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal. Residents will present the results of their projects at the yearly resident research conference.
