Emergency Medicine Curriculum and Didactics
The goal of the Florida Atlantic University Emergency Medicine Residency is to train highly competent emergency medicine specialists. To achieve this goal, the program is dedicated to providing highly academic training opportunities and experiences in an environment of experienced emergency medicine academic faculty.

- One conference day per month dedicated to simulation
- State-of-the-art simulation center with high-fidelity mannequins
- Annual mass casualty incident/ disaster training
- Simulation cases prepared by fellowship trained faculty
- Procedure stations with dedicated task trainers for advanced and infrequent procedures
Ultrasound
- Monthly hands on ultrasound sessions utilizing standardized patients
- System-based didactic lectures
- Scanning shifts with ultrasound fellowship-trained faculty
- Group discussions and QI on clinical scans
