Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Delray Medical Center
For more than 35 years, Delray Medical Center (DMC), has served the communities of South Palm Beach County. As both a community hospital and Level I Trauma Center located on a 42-acre medical plaza, DMC has the ability to offer specialized cardiovascular services.
Services include, but are not limited to, a well-equipped echocardiographic laboratory including TTE, TEEs, ICE imaging; a prolific cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory, hybrid operative rooms with high volume of transcatheter based therapies including but not limited to TAVRs, MitraClips, Watchman devices, as well as involvement in ongoing investigational trials (such as TriClip, TMVR, Carillon, REDUCE-LAP).
DMC has over 530 beds; 18,000 admissions; 79,000 outpatient visits; and 42,000 ED visits per year. Five separate Intensive Care Units support care of cardiac, surgical, trauma, medical, and neurosurgical patients. To continually meet the needs of the growing local community, DMC recently expanded by adding a new patient tower, which includes 96 private patient rooms, a comprehensive cardiovascular clinic focused on valvular pathology, cardiac rehabilitation, and the latest imaging technology with FFR-CTA.
In partnership with Florida Atlantic University, DMC is one of the host sites for medical students, residents, and fellows.
