One-Time Retention Bonus

Florida Atlantic University will provide a one-time bonus in the amount of 2.5% of an eligible employee’s base salary (as of 10/01/2023) or $1,500, whichever is greater. This bonus is in recognition of the challenging economic conditions, including continued levels of high inflation, we are living with. This one-time bonus will be reflected in the November 17, 2023, paycheck.

Eligibility:

Eligible employees are Administrative Managerial Professionals (AMP), Support Personnel (SP), and Out-Of-Unit Faculty who:

  1. Have been employed on or before July 1, 2023.
  2. Have not received a Notice of Separation or layoff.
  3. Are still actively employed as of November 17, 2023.
  4. Part-time employees shall receive an amount prorated based on the full-time equivalent (FTE) of the position held.
  5. DROP employees are eligible.

Exceptions:

  1. Employees who are covered by an individual employment agreement or contract.
  2. Employees whose positions are included in a collective bargaining unit.
  3. Employees classified as Temporary/OPS (Other Personal Services), which include adjunct faculty, Post-Doctorial Fellows, Senior Research Fellows, and all student employment classifications. (student employees, Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), and Graduate Research Assistant (GRA)).
  4. The College of Medicine, designated as a “Special Unit” and separately funded by the Florida legislature, may develop its own program for the College of Medicine Out-Of-Unit Faculty and employees.
