It is highly recommended that all required Financial Aid Documents (not including proof of citizenship) be uploaded securely using Owl Files .

•       Students may electronically sign documents submitted using OwlFiles.  For documents submitted in person, or any documents including a parent’s signature, wet signatures are required.

•       Upload each document as a whole file, not as individual pages.

•       Emailed or faxed documents will NOT be accepted.

•       If requested, you must present ORIGINAL documents in person for other information, such as proof of citizenship. Copies or mailed citizenship documents will not be accepted.

NOTE: Forms may also be submitted via mail or in-person drop off to the FAU Office of Student Financial Aid at any partner campus (Boca, Davie, Jupiter).

Appeal Forms

• SAP Appeal Form for GPA and/or Pace
  Submit this form if you are not meeting our Satisfactory Academic Progress standards for either GPA or Pace.
• SAP Appeal Form for Exceeding Time Frame
  Submit this form if you are not meeting our Satisfactory Academic Progress standards for Timeframe.
  
• Florida State Programs - Academic Progress Appeal
  Submit this form if you have become ineligible for Bright Futures, FSAG, or other state aid.
  Bright Futures Appeals can only be submitted due to a verifiable illness or other documented emergency. The medical or emergency circumstances that affected the semester/s in question must be documented. You should provide as much documentation as possible regarding the illness or emergency with your appeal form.  Incomplete appeals lacking supporting documentation or a letter of explanation will be denied. Appeals submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Allow 10-15 business days for committee review.
• Scholarship Reinstatement Appeal Form
  Submit this form if you have become ineligible for a FAU scholarship.

  Submit this form if you prefer to borrow a private loan instead of receiving federal aid.
  
• Parent Notification of PLUS Abandonment
  Submit this form if your parent is approved for a Parent PLUS loan but decides not to borrow the loan.
• PLUS Loan No Borrower Match
  Submit this form to confirm your relationship with a parent who applies for a PLUS loan on your behalf.
  
• Loan Cancellation Form
  Contact us prior to submitting this form. Submit this form along with a paper check to return all or a portion of your loan once it has already disbursed.

To view or download the required dependent/independent verification worksheet forms:

1. Access the Financial Aid section on FAU Self-Service via MyFAU.
2. Click the "Financial Aid Status" tile. (If prompted, select an “Academic Year" from the drop-down list.)
3. Click the "Student Requirements" link.
