FAST Labs Teaching Fellowships

As jobs in academia have become more competitive, the demand for trainees to gain direct experience in teaching has become a necessity.  With guidance from experienced faculty, this program will train graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to teach undergraduate-level lecture & lab courses.

How it works:

Selected trainees will be assigned to lead a lecture or lab course for a semester on the Jupiter campus. The training will include pairing with an experienced faculty member and attending workshops for guidance in curriculum development and classroom dynamics. Peers and faculty will also periodically attend lectures to provide critical feedback throughout the term.

Courses eligible 2021-2022:
- TBD or upon request

To apply, submit a 1-page cover letter highlighting relevant experience (teaching or specific course training), curriculum vitae, brief letter of support from postdoctoral/graduate mentor, and contact information for two additional references. Please discuss the course(s) of interest in the cover letter.

A supplemental teaching stipend will be paid to the selected applicant(s).
