Florida Atlantic University is home to numerous
facilities across our seven campuses and research facilities
stretching from Ft. Pierce to Dania Beach and from the
Everglades to the beach.
Our base of operations is on the Boca Raton campus,
but our staff can facilitate any event across our campuses and
locations.
Boca Raton (Main Campus)
Our Boca Raton campus offers almost any type of
meeting or event space you could need, from our largest spaces
3500 seat athletic arena and a 2400 seat performing arts
auditorium to meeting and conference rooms for the most
intimate of gatherings.
FAU Arena
The FAU Arena ("The Burrow"), opened its doors to women's
basketball in 1984. Men's basketball and volleyball became FAU
Arena tenants in 1988. The facility seats 3,500 and was
recently modernized with a $10 million renovation (2007)
including a new roof, renovated locker rooms, an upgraded
exterior and renovated lobby as well as chair back seating and
the installation of a video scoreboard. In the summer of 2008,
further renovations were put in place, including club
suites.
Marleen and Harold Forkas Alumni Center
The Center offers FAU alumni, students, faculty and staff,
as well as members of the community, access to an unparalleled
setting for classes, conferences, cultural activities and
events. Featuring 14,000-square-feet of multi-purpose space,
the Center’s interior is comprised of a great hall, two
board rooms, three classrooms, a library, two large reception
areas, a mentoring center and a fully equipped catering
kitchen. Additionally, the 1,100-square-foot courtyard is an
ideal location for outdoor and tented receptions and
performances.
Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium
The Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium is a
2400 seat venue located on the FAU Boca Raton Campus.
Built in 1980 and opened in 1982 the Auditorium has maintained
a reputation as one of the most acoustically sound venues in
south Florida. We are the south Palm Beach County home to
a number of regionally acclaimed orchestras as well as a
variety of other performances ranging from Broadway stars to
nationally acclaimed comedians to internationally acclaimed
concerts.
Student Union Complex
The Student Union Complex is comprised of conference center
constructed in 2002, a 6,000 square foot multipurpose facility,
as well as several meeting rooms in the main building.
The Student Union has a wide of array of meeting/event space
that can be as simple as a board meeting for ten people or as
elaborate as a reception for hundreds. The FAU Student Union
has the resources necessary to accommodate nearly any
event.
