Ocean Engineering: Summer Workshop

Ocean and Mechanical Engineering

The Ocean Engineering Summer Workshop, hosted by the Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering, offers students a unique opportunity to engage with ongoing research projects at the SeaTech Ocean Engineering Research Facility. Participants will discover how fundamental scientific studies, particularly in fluid mechanics, impact daily life in meaningful ways. Through this immersive experience, they will learn basic programming concepts and apply them by assembling and programming small robotic carts and drones to perform simple autonomous tasks. Additionally, students will explore the principles of Naval Architecture, using their knowledge to design and construct miniature boats, culminating in an exciting team-based race.
