Corridor Enhancement- NW 2nd Avenue
Overview
The city of Boca Raton is faced with the need for an enhancement to the NW 2nd Ave corridor from the intersection of Yamato Rd to the intersection of W Hidden Valley Blvd to There are major steps to take in achieving these goals. To begin, it is vital to develop a traffic simulation to model the corridor at the project location where the priority is placed on determining the most ideal enhancement to the corridor. The primary interest is on analyzing shared paths as a possible solution. Additionally, the corridor is known to have issues with standing water that lead to the search for an efficient drainage system according to site conditions and proposed designs. Another important aspect to the project is to incorporate enhanced features, landscaping, and lighting to ensure a healthy and safe environment for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Community Benefit
Our goal is to provide improved mobility and quality of life to the residents and attract economic development to the corridor in anticipation for the development of the former Ocean Breeze Golf Course. This can be achieved by providing more transportation options, facilities, and landscaping to make the area more attractive and livable.
