Research Park Solar Panels

Overview

In 2014, FAU partnered with FPL, and two photovoltaic arrays were installed at FAU’s Research Park with the objective of sharing the benefits of solar energy. These two arrays have since fallen into disrepair. Our team’s goal is to repair and enhance the operation of one of these PV arrays, with a repeatable solution that can be implemented with other PV arrays in future FAU solar projects.

Community Benefit

Our solution offers several improvements with the advantage that they can be easily transferred to any type of PV array, they can be applied to existing or new solar installations, practically at any scale. Sites require only a few core components to gain the benefits, advanced module-level monitoring, and enhanced security.
