NW/SW 4th Avenue Road Widening Project

Overview

Pave the Way Consultants is working to expand a 1.3-mile section of NW/SW 4th Avenue between the intersections of Glades Road and W Camino Real. By optimizing the existing unconventional intersection geometry and constricted right of way, Pave the Way was able to develop a design that improves the existing facilities and traffic flow conditions as per the request from the City of Boca Raton. The design includes a divided roadway with designated turn lanes, a roundabout, improved stormwater drainage, 10-foot multipurpose path, enhanced landscaping, and innovative pedestrian safety devices.

Community Benefit: Our proposed roadway design will benefit the community by reducing travel time for its users, relieving the localized flooding associated with our roadway, and encourage outdoor activities due to the new pedestrian safety devices, multipurpose path, and landscaping.
