Find Me Geographically (Augmented Reality for Education)

Overview

Our project aims to teach and improve retention of geolocation on a globe. Using the power of Unity AR, we can display a virtual globe into actual space that can be interacted from the user's phone. The facilitator can then ask the user to find countries on the globe and provide hints, such as showing them a geographical map or by providing small facts on the country in question.

Community Benefit: Geography is an under-taught subject even though it is important to be aware of geography to be able to be a global citizen. With our project, we hope to invigorate a new interest in Geography in a fun and unique way so people can get a sense of the world around them.
