Fab Lab Access

Overview

Our project is designed to provide access to the equipment that is located in FAU’s new FAB Lab facility. An RFID card reader is used to grant or deny access to the machinery based on the person’s credentials. With each scan, our unit provides accurate documentation to our database in order to ensure security and proper validation of the user.

Community Benefit: Our project allows students, faculty members, and visitors to have access to equipment that can provide aid to their projects. With these types of resources available to the community, the opportunities for wonderful creations are limitless.
