Abstract
The Robotic Utility Pole Inspection Collar (RUPIC), is a robotic collar with the ability to inspect wooden utility poles. It is a lightweight, easy and fast to mount tool, which offers swift manipulation and easy metrics interpretation through an application. RUPIC can quickly conduct a decay test on the wooden pole and send back data to the operator for analysis and interpretation. Community Benefit: RUPIC saves time and assists technicians to efficiently access utility poles and identify damaged poles that could cause problems and be dangerous.
