GPS & Targeting Pod

Overview

Our project is designed for the geo-locating of military targets. Our system consists of a 3-D printed remote-control tank outfitted with GPS, digital compass, and a laser range finder for the purpose of keeping soldiers further away from danger. The user will drive the tank into enemy territory and laze a target. Since the GPS location and bearing of the tank is known, the tank’s computer can then use the laser range to determine the GPS location of the foreign target. This information can then be used to call in GPS guided munitions or another form of precision strike. The team has built the entirety of the project from the ground up.

Community Benefit

The primary benefactors in the creation of this product are the American people as a whole, and to preserve the American way of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. American soldiers' lives are extremely important and must be protected at all costs. ​
