Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering
Overview
The Hands-Free Feeder is a semi-autonomous arm designed to provide assisted feeding to individuals with disabilities. Using machine vision and collision detection, the arm is able to safely bring food from a receptacle, located on a table, to a user’s mouth.
