AI Powered Path Planning for Mobile Robot Wireless Charging

Overview

This project implements AI-powered wireless charging for multi-robot systems. Wireless charging is performed using Radio Frequency (RF) harvesting and Artificial Intelligence. The system allows a group of robots to identify and navigate an area with the highest signal strength for charging by sharing positional and RF data with all robots and acting as a coordinated multiagent system.

Community Benefit: Autonomous mobile robots provide vital services for multiple industries: healthcare, rescue missions, construction, surveillance, storage and inventory management, and entertainment. However, due to battery capacity, robots have limited active time. Our solution provides an extension of the active time, making robots more independent and capable of completing more complex missions while charging themselves in an intelligent manner.
