A.D.O.M. AUV

Overview

The designed autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) is a device capable of measuring dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and other important water parameters in fish farm lakes. This AUV is able to engage and disengage from an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), that transports the AUV from lake to lake. The data collected by the AUV is wirelessly transmitted to a central location so that it may be reviewed, enabling proper action to be taken if required.

Community Benefit: Our design helps phase out the current labor-intensive procedure for measuring D.O. throughout a body of water. The process ensures that quality living standards are met for fish that reside in fish farms. This saves money, creates jobs, and provides a healthier environment for the fish, ultimately resulting in a larger abundance of healthy food for people.
