Ocean Engineering Summer Workshop

Attention 9th through 12th grade high school students from Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties! Apply for a 4-day engineering camp hosted at Florida Atlantic University’s Ocean Engineering facility, SeaTech, in Dania Beach. Thanks to the generous support of the National Science Foundation, there’s no cost for attendance. Don’t miss this chance to dive into the world of ocean engineering and fluid mechanics.
- Explore ongoing research projects showcasing the practical applications of fluid mechanics
- Gain hands-on experience in programming and robotics by assembling and programming a small robotic cart
- Discover how fluid mechanics influence the design and operation of everyday objects like aircraft, automobiles, buildings, and bridges
- Learn to create tabletop flow visualization setups to visualize flow around everyday objects
The camp will be held June 24 - 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Florida Atlantic University's SeaTech Campus in Dania Beach.
