Cohort 5 Begins:  Fall 2025

This is a new transdisciplinary curriculum implemented with students from different departments and colleges (Computer Science & Engineering, Medicine, Science, Nursing, i-Sense, and Business)

Scholarship: 

  • Up to $34,000 for 1 year plus tuition!

Eligibility: 

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Resident (No International Students)
  • Master or PhD student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • High GPA

Additional Information:

  • Only full-time students will be funded by the NSF award
  • Part-time students can participate in the program taking the same courses and doing relevant research, but will need to seek other type of funding – these students will receive NSF certificate of completion from the program which adds value to your resume!
  • Program pays for 1 year only, equivalent to 8 courses (3 courses in the fall, 3 courses in the spring, and 2 courses in the summer)

NRT Courses: 

Student will register for corresponding NRT courses and Program Coordinator will assist if there are problems with registration.

     2 courses will be offered, however, selections for the summer term are announced during spring 2025. 


*Having BS degree, after 8 NRT Courses, you will need 2 additional courses to receive the MS degree. (24 credits + 6 credits = 30 credits) 

* For a PhD Degree, you will need: Master's 30 credits, dissertation 24 credits, other 18 course credits. This totals 72 credits. Note: Before being able to take dissertation credits, you must pass the Qualifying Exam.
