Former Student turned CEO, David Hartmann, The Silverlogic
Friday, Mar 01, 2024On Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, we had the pleasure to host David Hartmann, Founder and CEO from The Silverlogic. He shared the story about his company, products, and services . David is a former Florida Atlantic University student who turned an idea into a very real and successful career.
Creating a company is no easy task, but David was able to share the steps in a way that was informative and inspiring. It all began when David watched his mom spend hours during her weekends copying lots of data of little trinkets she sold. This is something that would take her long hours. David watched and had an idea. He turned this tedious time-consuming task into an automated, seamless process! He made his mother so happy and wondered, “What don’t I do this for other people?” – “The Birth” as he calls it, and the rest is history! He is now celebrating his company’s 11th year!
He shared great insights with the trainees such as the importance of having a very defined strategic plan; the map that will lead the way to expanding. He also shared the importance of core values and culture. He stressed the importance of creating that cultural environment early on and ensure all future hires fall within that circle. Teamwork is essential especially when you are starting a company, and many resources are needed. He provided many examples of things that could go wrong, how he managed to overcome the obstacles, and ensured everyone that although they would encounter roadblocks, everything is possible. He read a lot, gained a lot of knowledge, networked, and scarified a lot at the beginning, but in time, he saw success. His story left trainees excited with many questions.
To hear from a former student who once sat in that very same room with the same professor and was able to create a company which now offers great perks and benefits, shows how anything is possible for any trainee who sat in that room that day.
We are delighted to have spent time with David Hartmann and having trainees benefit from such a wonderful inspiring guest lecture!
