The NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program has made a significant impact on graduate students by preparing them for successful careers in STEM fields and providing opportunities to engage in advanced, interdisciplinary research. Since its inception in 2014, the NSF has awarded 194 NRT projects across 118 institutions, as highlighted in the latest cumulative statistics shared at the 2024 Annual NRT Conference.

Our student, Vinicius T. Salgado, had the privilege of networking with fellow NRT graduate students and presenting his research on Text-to-Video Generators: Evaluation and Applications. This experience not only allowed Vinicius to showcase his work but also provided invaluable insights into the opportunities and challenges he will encounter as he enters the workforce.

Listening to presentations from other students and learning about the impressive achievements from institutions across the country was both inspiring and motivating. We are excited to continue offering our students such opportunities to expand their networks, apply their developing skills, and gain the confidence needed to excel in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

Attending the NRT Conference is always an enriching experience, and we look forward to future opportunities for growth and collaboration.
