MSITM - CYBERSECURITY Concentration

Students enrolled in this concentration will take the following three courses:

  1. CEN 5035 Software Engineering
  2. COP 6371 Theory and Implementation of the Database Systems
  3. ISM 6026 Management of Information Systems and Technology

In addition, students must take three cybersecurity courses from the list below.

  1. CDA 5326 Cryptographic Engineering
  2. CIS 5371 Practical Aspects of Modern Cryptography
  3. CIS 6370 Computer Data Security
  4. CIS 6375 Distributed Systems Security
  5. COT 6427 Secret Sharing Protocols
  6. CAI 6803 Data Analysis and Modeling for Cybersecurity
  7. CIS 6730 Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technologies

Additionally, non-thesis students must take two Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) courses with prefixes of CAP, CDA, CEN, CIS, COP, COT, CTS or CNT offered by the EECS department. Thesis students must take 6 credits of COT 6970 Master's Thesis-Computer Science.

The last two electives will be selected from the following Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) courses in the College of Business:

  1. ISM 6328 Management of Information Assurance and Security
  2. ISM 6327 Digital Forensics Management
  3. ISM 6427C Business Innovation with Artificial Intelligence
  4. ISM 6455 Blockchain and Crypto Assets: Digital Business Transformation
