CEGE Graduate Students' Achievements

CEGE graduate students received competitive awards at the 6th Annual Celebration of Academic Excellence event held by FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science in Gangal Hall on February 19th. Congratulations to all of the awardees!

The awards are as follows:

- Amirjavad Ahmadian Hosseini won the first-place poster presentation award at the doctoral level. He is currently completing his PhD studies under Dr. Jahandar Lashaki’s supervision working on developing adsorbent materials for carbon dioxide capture from the ambient air and enclosed environments such as spacecraft, submarines, etc.

- Brandyn Nutter won both the Graduate Leadership Award and the TA of the Year Award. He is currently completing his PhD studies under Dr. Jahandar Lashaki’s supervision working on developing adsorbent materials for biogas and landfill gas purification to produce renewable natural gas.

- Anika Azad won the first-place poster presentation award at the master’s level.

- Dennis Asante-Sackey won the second-place poster presentation award at the master’s level.
