FAU Geomatics Program Wins Prestigious NCEES Award for the Third Time in Four Years

Florida Atlantic University's Geomatics Engineering Program has been awarded the prestigious $15,000 NCEES Surveying Education Award again for 2024. This award is given to  the Surveying and Geomatics programs that exemplify NCEES' mission of advancing surveyor licensure to protect public health, safety, and welfare. FAU's program was one of seven nationwide to receive this honor this year. FAU’s Geomatics Program previously received the award in 2021 and 2022.

The award funds will be used to enhance the Geomatics Engineering Program by:

  1. Improving student recruitment efforts
  2. Promoting professional licensure
  3. Providing students with access to cutting-edge surveying technology

This achievement highlights the program's commitment to excellence and would not have been possible without:

  • Ongoing support from the surveying community
  • Dedicated contributions from department faculty and staff
  • Hard work and dedication of the students

The FAU Geomatics Engineering Program's success in winning this award repeatedly emphasizes  its position as a national leader in surveying and geomatics education.
