Any FAU online course that has been taught for 3 + years is eligible for a Course Design Update provided it has not been funded for another service in the three years. During this process, the faculty member works one-on-one with an instructional designer to update the course with fresh media and materials.

Process typically takes 6 to 8 weeks with a weekly meeting of 1 to 1 ½ hours
Media recording time usually takes an additional hour/week or more depending on the project
$1,500 at course completion following successful Internal Review
Courses reaching State High Quality standards receive the High Quality Badge to display in the course, which indicates a High Quality Designation, as set forth by the Florida Board of Governors.
