The Holmes Scholars^® Program at Florida Atlantic University

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) established Holmes Scholars^® Program in 1991 to provide mentorship, peer support, professional development, and rich scholarly experiences to doctoral students from traditionally underrepresented groups that are pursuing doctoral degrees in education. In 2016, Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education was approved to have the AACTE Holmes Scholars^® Program to provide an environment of support to underrepresented doctoral students enrolled in education programs.
