Appreciative Education in Action Webinar
An Appreciative Advising Approach to Working with TRIO Students
Thursday, October 20, 2022 | Noon – 1 p.m. (Eastern Time)
Featuring:
Lisa Driscoll, MS, Assistant Professor/Academic Advisor, TRIO Student Support Services,
Pennsylvania Western University – California Campus
Since 1964, TRIO programs have been committed to providing students with the support needed to achieve their educational dreams. Many TRIO programs are using the Appreciative Advising theory-to-practice framework to deliver exceptional programming and advising support to their students. The focus of the framework on discovering students’ unique strengths, eliciting their dreams, and co-creating a plan for accomplishing their dreams compliments TRIO programs’ focus on helping students to achieve their full potential. In this engaging webinar, Lisa Driscoll, an experienced TRIO leader, will share practical strategies for incorporating the six phases of Appreciative Advising into TRIO programming and advising initiatives.
