Carl Brunswick
Monday, Mar 01, 2021Carl Brunswick has been the Associate Director of the FAU Career Center at the Davie campus since 2019. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Brunswick has worked in higher education and career services for 20 years. He has an extensive background in recruitment marketing and advertising as well as career advising, coaching and mentoring. Brunswick attended Florida State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications. While attending Florida State University Carl was an active brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and served as their community service chairman. He began his career in advertising before transitioning into Higher Education and pursuing his MBA in Human Resource Management from South University. Brunswick’s passion is helping students and graduates reach their dreams of career success.
Brunswick said that the Career Center’s greatest accomplishments are when students and employers come to its events and find a successful match for a job or an internship. “We work very hard to build partnerships with employers that will benefit our students with their employment search,” he said.
"I am proud of the fact that I along with my entire Career Center family continually helps FAU students and alumni build toward successful futures by engaging employers to bring exciting job opportunities and internships to our students of all majors. I am also proud of my new role as the Liaison to the College of Nursing and working with college to develop new initiatives for our Nursing students," Brunswick said.
Brunswick, who resides in Miami Beach, says his favorite experience while at FAU was hosting his first Davie Career Fair with Rachel Friedman and Katie Silva-Santiago and working as the faculty fellow for his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon.
"During my free time I enjoy going around the country riding rollercoasters with my friends," Brunswick said. "We pick a different theme park each year and have a blast riding extreme rollercoasters."
