FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute Executive Director Delivers Commencement Speech to College of Science Graduating Class

On Friday, May 6,  Randy Blakely, Ph.D. , executive director,  FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute , gave a commencement address at the  Charles E. Schmidt College of Science  graduation ceremony. During his address, Blakely relayed how tragic family events, a willingness to take risks, and the support of teachers, mentors and others unseen, placed him on a path to a career in neuroscience. He encouraged the graduates to be confident that their education had provided them with the ability to veer away from the roads they may have expected to travel and still reach the destination they should have been heading to in the first place.
