Applications for Admission for Fall 2025

NGP Admission Requirements
  • Relevant BS or BA degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.4* GPA (on a 4.0 scale) 
  • Official transcripts from all universities
  • 3 letters of recommendation, preferably from academic/research advisors
  • Personal statement
  • Resume/CV
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is not a requirement
  • Late applications are not accepted or reviewed
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all materials, including recommendation letters, are submitted by the deadline

* The Admissions Committee considers all aspects of the application, not only GPA, but also what courses an applicant has taken, research experience, letters of recommendation, and the applicant's personal statement. Strong qualifications in some areas may offset weaker qualifications in other areas.

International applicants

International Applicants Documents Due by December 1

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) proficiency: TOEFL score report (for international students when applicable)
  • Students Who Attended Colleges/Universities Outside of the U.S.:

  • International transcript(s):
    Official copy of course-by-course transcript evaluations with calculated GPA(s), and CUM GPA. Course-by-course transcript evaluation which includes a GPA(s) equivalent, and CUM GPA.
  • Transcripts & evaluations must be received from ALL institutions attended by December 1. Order them as soon as possible.

The following are exceptions for the TOEFL test requirement:

  • Originate from countries where English is an official language and is the language of instruction in higher education. *see list at Frequently Asked Questions
  • Has at least 60 credit hours or was awarded a degree from a regionally accredited institution within the United States.
  • Has been consecutively enrolled in a regionally accredited institution in the USA for the past two years as demonstrated by an official transcript (consecutive enrollment as of day of reviewing the application.
  • Has received a degree from a United States regionally accredited institution outside the USA (see here for a list of Regional Accrediting Commissions).

Application Deadline: December 1, 2024 for Fall 2025 for applications and supporting materials

We encourage applicants to submit the completed application prior to the December 1 deadline. Applications must include all supporting documentation, and all letters of recommendation must be received by December 1, in order to be sent to the Admissions Committee for review.
