Abu Bakkar Siddique is an Assistant Professor of Public Finance in the School of Public Administration at Florida Atlantic University. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University. Before joining FAU, Abu Bakkar was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Indiana University Bloomington.
His interests, broadly, lie at the intersection of Politics, Economics, and Social Psychology, covering various fields of public finance, development, economics, and health affairs. The driving motivation behind his research is to inform public policies and practices that improve social and economic justice, reduce inequality and poverty, and increase common welfare. He is also interested in methodological research that aims to improve trust in science by fostering scientific rigor, reproducibility, and transparency. His work also involves detecting bias in statistical model selections and research publications.


roland ofori

Roland Ofori is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy in the School of Public Administration at Florida Atlantic University. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan Technological University. Before joining FAU, Dr. Ofori was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and an Assistant Economist at Ghana's Ministry of Finance.
His is an interdisciplinary scholar with expertise in economics and political science. His research seeks to deepen our understanding of the complex relationship between humans and the environment and identify best solutions to wicked problems in natural resource management. He has studied and identified practical strategies to address several policy problems related to invasive species, fisheries, and fuel subsidies in Africa and food waste and school meal programs in the United States.
