Spring/Summer 2013 Pi Sigma Alpha Membership

The Department of Political Science is offering membership to the Eta Delta Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

Pi Sigma Alpha, has approximately eighty chapters in colleges and universities throughout the United States.  Its purpose is to recognize excellence in Political Science and stimulate increased interest in all areas of government and politics by promoting communication between undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, public officials and others.

Membership criteria for Undergraduate Junior and Seniors :

You must have completed at least ten semester-credit hours of work in political science courses including at least one upper-division course, with an average grade of B or higher in those courses; and have achieved an overall GPA placing you in the top one-third of third of your class.

Membership criteria for Graduate Students :

You must have completed nine graduate credits in political science with no grade lower than a B. Undergraduate coursework does not count towards graduate student eligibility.

   

Applications are due in the Political Science Department office (SO 392) by 3:00pm on Thursday, February 21, 2013
